Solo Tango Orquesta with Walter „Chino“ Laborde
The Solo Tango Orquesta from Moscow with the typical quartet instrumentation of bandoneon, violin, piano and double bass has been considered for years as one of the world’s leading tango ensembles. As Europeans, they have succeeded in doing what is otherwise reserved only for local music groups in Buenos Aires: they were frenetically acclaimed during their performances there. An accolade for tango musicians! Repeatedly they were guests at the Tangofestival Innsbruck and enthused the audience. They are always good for a surprise, at their last Innsbruck performance with interpretations by Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninov, at this festival accompanied by the charismatic singer Chino Laborde, one of the hottest tango singers in Buenos Aires. Some people may know him as a singer in the film “Midsummer Nightstango”, travelling through Finland with his partner Dipi Kvitko to get to the bottom of the rumour, that tango was invented in Finland.
